Your written quote will clearly show what is included in the flat rate and identify any additional charges, such as parts or the service-call fee. No additional work or charges will be added without your knowledge.

How Our Flat Rates Are Determined

Wayfare Mobile RV Repair develops its flat-rate pricing using recognized RV-industry labor guides, manufacturer service procedures, and published labor allowances. Primary reference sources include Spader, Lippert, Dometic, and Airxcel/Coleman-Mach. We may also consult the applicable manufacturer's technical information when servicing other RV components.

These resources provide a starting point. The final flat rate may also account for the specific RV and component, accessibility, diagnostic complexity, safety requirements, specialized training and equipment, and the number of technicians needed to complete the service properly.

Flat-rate pricing is based on the approved service or repair scope—not solely on the amount of time the technician spends onsite. Completing a service efficiently through training, experience, or advanced diagnostic equipment does not reduce the approved flat rate.

Diagnostic Services

A diagnostic flat rate covers the testing and professional evaluation needed to investigate the approved customer concern. The diagnostic service may result in a completed minor repair, a repair estimate, a replacement recommendation, a warranty determination, or confirmation that the reported problem could not be duplicated during the visit.

The diagnostic charge remains due for the service performed and information provided, even when the customer chooses not to proceed with the recommended repair.

When a minor correction can be safely completed within the approved diagnostic scope, the customer will generally be charged only for the diagnostic flat rate and any authorized parts or materials. Larger repairs or work outside the original scope will be quoted for approval before proceeding.

Other Need To Know Information

Second technician

Some services require a second qualified technician because of the component’s size, weight, location, or safe handling requirements. Examples may include cassette awnings, large component replacements, and repairs involving difficult or unsafe access.

When an additional technician is required, the additional labor will be clearly identified in the written quote before the work is approved.

Warranty and extended-service contracts

Wayfare Mobile RV Repair does not perform repairs through RV manufacturer or OEM warranty programs. Certain third-party extended-service contracts may be accepted after the plan and claim requirements have been reviewed.

Warranty-related labor is submitted at Wayfare’s warranty labor rate of $225 per hour. The customer remains responsible for the deductible and any labor, parts, fees, or services not approved or paid by the warranty company. Diagnostics are required and may or may not be covered, depending on the findings. If the claim is denied or diagnostic time is not paid by the warranty company, the customer will be billed for the diagnostic time. Warranty approval does not transfer the customer’s payment responsibility to the warranty provider.

Additional damage found during a repair

RV repairs sometimes reveal additional damage or related problems that could not be identified before disassembly or further testing.

If conditions outside the approved scope are discovered, Wayfare will explain the findings and provide updated pricing. Additional work will not be performed without customer authorization, except when temporarily securing the RV is reasonably necessary to prevent an immediate safety hazard or additional damage.
